By accessing and using AppDNS ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

AppDNS provides a free Dynamic DNS service that allows users to create and manage subdomains with automatic IP address updates through the DigitalOcean DNS infrastructure.

3. User Accounts

To use our Service, you must authenticate using a valid GitHub account. By logging in, you authorize us to access your GitHub user ID and username for authentication purposes only.

4. Service Limitations

  • Each user is limited to a maximum of 5 subdomains
  • Subdomain names must comply with DNS naming standards
  • DNS records have a TTL (Time To Live) of 120 seconds
  • The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis with no uptime guarantees

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for:

  • Any illegal activities or purposes
  • Distributing malware, spam, or malicious content
  • Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Creating subdomains that infringe on trademarks or intellectual property
  • Automated abuse or excessive API requests that may impact Service availability

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Remove or disable subdomains that violate these terms
  • Implement rate limiting or usage restrictions

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Statement. We collect and store only the minimum data necessary to provide the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by AppDNS and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL APPDNS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms of Use.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
